BERG XL go-kart in Monaghan
The XL is the largest pedal kart frame we keep. BERG's age guide for it is 5 years to adult. One XL kart is in stock: the B.Pure Blue BFR, priced at €595.
BERG builds more karts on the XL frame than this one. It is the one in our warehouse in Co. Monaghan, which is why it can be at a Monaghan or Cavan address within 48 hours, delivered free.
The BFR hub
The letters BFR in the name refer to BERG's hub. Pedal forwards and the kart goes. Pedal back and it brakes. It will also reverse.
Is the XL the right frame?
It is the frame for a household with more than one rider. An older brother or sister, a teenager and a parent can all use it, and with an age guide that runs to adult, nobody grows out of it in a hurry.
If the only rider is five or six, look at the Rally as well. It is a smaller frame, with an age guide of 4 to 12 years and prices from €459, and may suit a small child better. The go-kart guide sets out all five karts.
Delivery, assembly and returns
Clontibret Transport of Cashel, Castleblayney delivers free to the kerbside in Monaghan and Cavan. We do not assemble karts; BERG's manual covers assembly. Returns are taken within 14 days and the return delivery is paid by the customer. Read the delivery page or return to all go-karts.
Use it on private ground: a yard, a garden or a private lane. It is not for public roads.

Can an adult ride the BERG XL?+
Yes. BERG rates the XL frame from 5 years to adult, which is why one kart can be shared between children, teenagers and parents.
What is the BFR in the kart's name?+
It is BERG's hub. With it you pedal forwards to move, pedal backwards to brake, and can also reverse.
Do you keep other XL karts?+
Not at present. The B.Pure Blue BFR, at €595, is the XL kart we hold in stock. BERG makes others, but we show only what we can deliver from our own warehouse.
How is the XL delivered in Monaghan?+
Free, within 48 hours, by Clontibret Transport of Cashel, Castleblayney. Delivery is to the kerbside and we confirm the day when you order.
Is the XL allowed on the road because adults can ride it?+
No. Whoever is pedalling, it is still a pedal kart for private ground such as a yard, a garden or a private lane. Keep it off public roads.
One kart for the whole house?
Tell us who will ride it and how tall the youngest is. We will say whether the XL fits or a Rally would be better.
