BERG SPORTS Champion FlatGround 330 Grey
- Size
- 11ft (330cm)
- Enclosure
- No net
A FlatGround is the BERG trampoline that finishes flush with the grass. Nothing stands above the lawn, so there is no ladder to climb and nothing to block the view down the garden. Sitting at ground level, it also gives the wind far less to catch than a trampoline on legs does.
BERG builds it in Champion, Elite and Pro Bouncer, as a circle, a rectangle or a square, at prices from €699 to €4,999. In County Monaghan the first question is the ground itself, which is often dense, slow-draining clay. We cover that further down this page.

A FlatGround asks more of the ground than any other trampoline, because the whole frame sits at lawn level over a hollow. BERG's manual requires "adequate drainage" to carry rain water away and a check that a high ground-water level will not leave water standing in that hollow.
Drainage is exactly where Monaghan soil is weak. The county's drumlins are built of glacial till, and Monaghan County Council's Landscape Character Assessment says of it: "The till is very dense and water cannot percolate through very easily." Its conclusion is short: "the land is wet and difficult to drain".
None of this rules a FlatGround out. It does mean the decision belongs to the installer, landscaper or builder who walks your garden, sees where it slopes and where water lies after rain, and tells you honestly whether the spot will work. Ask for that visit before you pay for a trampoline. We leave hole sizes and drainage methods to BERG's manual and to the person doing the job, and do not publish them here.
Read more in who installs a trampoline in Monaghan and in our guide to slopes, wind and wet ground.
BERG uses "Ultim" for a rectangular trampoline and "SPORTS" for one supplied with no net. Each price links to that model on TrampolinesIreland.com, where you place the order. The models shown are grey, and you can ask us about other colours.

Champion and Elite use the same springs and the same mat, and both carry the CE mark and the GS mark (TÜV). Elite has heavier frame tubing and its padding is covered for 5 years against Champion's 2. In the rectangular Ultim Elite FlatGround there is a single size, 500 x 300cm. Above them sits the Pro Bouncer, whose protective edge is both wider and thicker and which is rated for users up to 120kg.
Choose it if you want the lawn to stay a lawn. From the house the garden looks as it always did, and the children simply walk on and off.
A round FlatGround is the everyday family choice. The rectangular ones have a longer jumping run, which suits gymnastics and tumbling, and they are the models you can pair with a net or the AeroWall.
An InGround is sunk into the lawn too, but a low rim stays above the grass. It costs from €339, takes in the Favorit range and the oval shape, and offers a net on every size.
An above-ground trampoline stands on legs, comes with a net as standard and asks nothing of your drainage. The buying guide weighs up all three, and the full BERG list is here.
In Monaghan and Cavan the trampoline travels on a pallet with Clontibret Transport of Cashel, Castleblayney, part of The Pallet Network. It is a kerbside delivery: the boxes are yours to move into the garden, and you keep the pallet. There is no delivery charge on orders over €300, which means none on any trampoline. If the model is in stock it is with you within 48 hours, and if not, typically in 7 to 10 days. See the delivery page.
Not Trampolines Ireland: we sell and deliver, and we do not install. The groundwork goes to an independent installer, a landscaper or a builder, who quotes you after seeing the site. If you need a name, ring 047 67255 and we will put you in touch with an independent installer.
That depends on your own garden. A FlatGround sits over a hollow in the lawn, and BERG requires adequate drainage for rain water and a check of the ground-water level. Monaghan County Council's Landscape Character Assessment says the county's glacial till is very dense and that the land is wet and difficult to drain. Have an installer look at the ground before you order. If it does not suit, an above-ground trampoline needs no digging.
No to both. BERG makes the FlatGround in Champion, Elite and Pro Bouncer only, and in round, rectangular and square shapes. For a Favorit or an oval set into the lawn, the InGround is the model to look at.
None of the round ones. Among the rectangular models, a net is an option on the 410 x 250cm and the 500 x 300cm, and the Pro Bouncer is sold either with the Safety Net Deluxe XL or with no net. The price table on this page marks the sizes that have a net version.
BERG's stunt wall. It is made for rectangular FlatGround trampolines and not for round ones. The models sold with an AeroWall are shown on this page with their prices.
With the frame at lawn level there is far less for the wind to catch than on a trampoline standing on legs. A safety net still catches wind on any trampoline, so BERG's advice to take the net down before a heavy storm applies if you fit one.
No. We supply it and arrange delivery. Fitting is the work of an independent installer, landscaper or builder, who inspects the garden, quotes you directly and follows BERG's manual. We are glad to put you in touch with an independent installer.
Send us a couple of photos and rough measurements. We will recommend a size and shape and give you a delivered price. It is free and there is no obligation.
